Who We Are

Wegmann Dazet & Company is one of the largest CPA / Business Consulting firms based in the Gulf South currently serving clients from Tampa to Texas from our offices in Metairie and Covington, Louisiana.

Wegmann Dazet has been ranked as one of the fastest growing firms in the area, serving our clients in tax and assurance services with additional concentration in specialized tax credits, litigation support/forensic accounting, business valuation, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, LIFO/FIFO, and pension plan/ERISA audits.

The CPA leaders of our Firm include: Edward Berbuesse, Mark Bohnet, Kerney Craft, Lisa Englade, Jon Folse, Jonathan Koenig, Valerie LeBlanc, Christin McGhee, Cliff Newlin, Robert Watkins, John White and Anita Zimmer.

Based in Metairie and with offices in Covington on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain, Wegmann Dazet & Company is a well established and experienced CPA firm with eight partners and sixty on staff.

The Firm is a member of the Private Practice Section of the AICPA Division of CPA firms. The division is a voluntary self-regulatory organization of firms established to foster quality performance. Membership in the division is limited and requires, among other things, that firms adhere to the AICPA quality control standards, submit to a peer review every three years, and provide 40 hours of continuing professional education yearly for each professional staff member.

Staff members are recruited from the top graduates of area universities. Training is continued through in-firm programs and coordinated participation in courses sponsored by the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, BDO USA, and other state CPA societies.

We offer particular experience in Oil and Gas Service Companies, Offshore and Inland Waters Marine Companies, Gaming and Hospitality, Technology Companies, Construction, Wholesale Distribution, Non-Profits, Retail, Manufacturing and Professional Services: Architects, Engineers, Physicians, Dentists and Attorneys.

The Firm is also an independent member of the BDO Seidman Alliance. BDO is a national professional services firm providing assurance, tax, financial advisory and consulting services to a wide range of publicly traded and privately held companies. Through the Alliance, Wegmann Dazet not only has access to the full resources and staff of BDO, it also allows us to serve clients in jointly-staffed engagements.
